Up until I was 25 years of age I had
not done too much travelling at all, of course holidays
to Spain and mainland Europe with the lads on a normal
yearly holiday like everyone does do when they are young
and carefree.
By the time I was 25 things changed for me, I started a
job in "Metrology", for those that do not know what that
is I will explain somewhere else on this website, but in
reality I was entering into a World that would change my
life forever.
3 months into my new job as a Metrologist and my new
boss came to me and asked if I had ever travelled
before!, to which I replied "Not much at all", to which
he replied "good then would you consider going to
Shanghai to install a new CNC measuring machine?"
Now considering that this was 1986 and China was a place
back then that not many westerners had gone to, it
really appealed to me, and despite the fact that I was a
new boy and was not 100% sure I could even do the job, I
felt that what the hell I would go and give it a go, at
the very least even if I failed and got fired I would
have been to China! |

And so after many years I have
finally got around to putting my experiences to the web,
I do hope you enjoy reading about them, and I promise to
share all of my past experiences, good and bad with you,
in the hope that it will help who ever reads this to
become a more experienced World Traveller.
